A: Oh. So you're one of those, eh
Steve?
This is a great question because there are so
many coworkers deserving to be pranked. Before you break out your hand buzzer,
though, you need to make sure the jokes will be well received. Ask yourself:
|
Do I know this person well enough?
* Does the
company and/or department culture encourage spontaneous teaming?
* What
are the odds an "innocent" will get caught in the crossfire?
* Can I
get away with it?
As long as your answers are favorable, go for it.
This year (2006), however, April Fool's falls on a
weekend, which actually gives you Friday and Monday to prank at work. So take advantage of both days. Do some tomfoolery today (Friday), then
stay after work to set up pranks for Monday.
Don't know what pranks to pull? Try these:
* Rearrange
the letters on his key board to spell out words.
* Run
multiple copies of her driver's license photo (enlarged, of course) and put
it in everyone's mailbox.
* Set his
computer to play "Funky
Town" every time
he opens a program.
* Take one
wheel off her chair.
Obviously, this list is by no means
complete. But it should be enough to
get your juices flowing.
IN THE CARAVAN: You can pull pranks at work on April Fool's Day
if you know the person well enough, nobody gets hurt and, most important,
if you can get away with it.
