Consider this: a prospective employer – or a current employer when you’re looking for a promotion – asks what you do when you’re not working. Which response will go over better?

“I watch TV and hang out with my friends. Oh – I love to surf the Internet, too.”

- OR -

“When I’m not training for the next 5K race, I like to bike along the canal.”

Pretty easy to see which response is better, right?

The aerobic activities show you’re active (not lazy), healthy (so you probably won’t have as many health-related issues requiring time off), and energetic (those who do aerobic exercise have higher energy levels).

And hey – you can join a club so running, biking or aerobic dancing can be a great networking tool, too!
